3rd Grade Market Day: The third grade classes will host a Market Day on Wednesday, May 21st. This is part of a financial literacy project that they save for the very end of the school year. The third grade students are creating products like: pet rocks, bracelets, key chains, desk pets, cupcakes and more!and much more! This year, they are raising money to help teachers in Tanzania receive training to work in Christian schools there. Anyone who makes a donation of any amount will receive $5 of Market Day shopping money! Here's the donation link: Market Day Donation Link . Please note that the link will close on 5/20 at 8:00 a.m.
🎉 End-of-Year Celebration (5/21 @ 12 p.m.): If you signed up for a monetary donation, please send it to school with your child on Monday, May 19th to allow enough time for the order to be placed. If you signed up for any other item, please send it in with your child on Wednesday, May 21st. How it works
Show your pass to a ranger when you enter.
If there is no ranger, leave it on the dashboard of your car.
If you visit a site that charges entrance fees per person - the pass admits all children under 16 and up to three adults for free.
If your group visits a site that charges vehicle entrance fees - The pass admits all children under 16 and all adults in up to one passenger vehicle.
Commercial vehicles can't use a pass to get in.
If you arrive at a site on bicycle - The pass admits all children under 16 and up to three adults on bicycles.
The pass doesn't cover things like parking fees, camping, boats, and special tours. Also, some sites are managed by private operators. They may not honor the pass. Check with the site ahead of time to find out.
The pass doesn’t cover fees for local, city, or state parks and recreation areas unless they say that they accept this pass.
Paper passes can be exchanged for plastic passes at certain sites.
In preparation for 5th grade, the teachers recommended that your child practices multiplication and division facts over the summer as well as have additional practice using money. For example: if you are out to dinner, your child can calculate the tip or if you are paying something with cash, your student can figure out the change. Consistent reading is also recommended.
Next week will be a lot of fun! This is our last Newsletter. I feel very blessed to have witnessed your child’s growth and development this year! I really enjoyed being one of your child’s teacher, I pray you have a restful and fun-filled summer!
Have a blessed weekend!
