All About Ms. Esson...

I have been teaching at Calabasas High School since the fall of 2016. During my time at CHS I have had the honor of being involved in LVUSD's Freshman Seminar program, LVUSD's Early College Academy program, & the Shop at CHS in addition to being a member of the Social Studies department.

Academics

I graduated from Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!) with a B.A. in European History & received my teaching credential from Vanguard University of Southern California.

Fun Facts

I played water polo at Arizona State & have had the opportunity to coach water polo since 2011 for different club (Vanguard Aquatics, Huntington Beach Water Polo Club) and high school teams (Fountain Valley High School & Calabasas High School). I was the head coach of both boys and girls water polo at CHS from 2016-2019.

My favorite historical time periods are the Middle Ages and the WWII era. I'm excited to share both my passion for and knowledge of history with my students- Not just to provide them with an understanding of the past; but in order to help them better understand our world today, and help them develop the skills needed to be successful both this year at CHS & in all their future endeavors.

In my free time I love to cook & bake, read, go to the beach, and swim.
