Meet the Teacher
About me:
I have been married to my husband for 18 years, and we have 2 children together. My son, Dylan is almost 17, and my daughter, Summer, is 15. They went to YB and I could not be happier with how prepared they were for middle and high school. I love that YB focuses on kindness, and I try to instill that in them (along with my students) every day. I love watching my son play baseball and my daughter play volleyball.Â
I have 2 fur babies, Zuma and Bear. One is a golden retriever and one is a golden retriever/husky mix. In my free time I like to go to the beach with our pups, read, and watch my beloved Dodgers!
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Mrs. Ramsey's 2nd grade class of 2023-24! I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade again this year. I am looking forward to watching my students learn, grow, and become independent thinkers with grit and perseverance. I will provide you with all of the information you will need for the year at our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 31st. We will discuss ways in which we can work together to make sure your child has a successful and happy 2nd grade year. We are a team!
This will be my 19th year teaching, and my 9th in 2nd grade at YB (I taught 5th grade my first year at YB). I graduated from CSUN with a bachelor's degree and teaching credential, and during the pandemic I got my master's degree in elementary education. I am always learning and growing as a teacher, and I feel so lucky to be in such a fulfilling career.
