Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! 

I'm looking forward to an exciting and wonderful year of learning with you. 

We will read, write, discuss, and formulate ideas about literature and world history with a critical and creative lens to understand our world and ourselves better! 

Please have the following materials ready for class each day. You will need these items starting the first week of school:

• one college-ruled composition book per semester (no spiral-bound notebooks, as they tend to fall apart) 

• one two-pocket folder dedicated to ELA and SS

• 3-4 different color highlighters

• sharpened pencils

• blue/black and red pens

• a pouch to carry your supplies

• an independent reading book

• charged school laptop 

• wired headphones (not wireless earbuds) that connect to your school laptop 

• a paper or digital organizer to keep track of assignments (optional)

• your AEW ID card
