Algebra 1

Welcome to Algebra!!!! I am excited to begin a year where we will go through and learn the skills that set the foundation for all upper level math. This year we will discuss expressions and linear functions & equations, inequalities, systems of equations and inequalities, quadratic functions & equations, and more! Algebra is demanding but success is attainable with practice. Since the class can be tough at times, it is imperative that students come to class everyday and complete ALL course work (including homework).

Textbook Pilot: Imagine Learning

The first semester, we will be piloting Illustrative Math's Imagine Learning. Ilustrative Math utilizes problem-based and discovery learning. It's purpose is to be engaging and analytical and teach everything through the lens of a real-world model. Students are given a consumable workbook every couple units that all notes and classwork will be in. Students have access to Imagine Learning's online platform through their Clever accounts.

Class Schedules

This schedule tells you what we did in class, scheduled quizzes and tests, project deadlines, and homework for each night. This is also the cover page for each chapter's packet.

Google Classroom

We use this for our daily online classroom. It will have all of the notes we did each day. If you are absent, this is a GREAT place to find what you missed!

We will be joining your period specific classroom in class - but there is a link on the resources tab just in case!
