This year marks my 29th year teaching in LVUSD at Chaparral.  My daughter attended Chaparral, Stelle, and graduated from CHS in 2023.   She is now starting her junior year at CSUN and is studying Environmental Science.    My, how time flies.  I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in the Sherman Oaks area.  I  attended Notre Dame High School before moving on to Valley Junior College and then attending UCSB, where I majored in Psychology.  From there, I decided that a career in education was for me, so I enrolled at Pepperdine University, where I earned both my M.A. in Education and my teaching credential.   The rest, they say, is history.   Six years ago, my family moved from Simi Valley to Moorpark and moved my mom in with us, so we are now an extended family of 4.    In my spare time, I love reading anything and everything, working out at the gym, and spending quality time with friends and family.  Most summers will find me spending 2 weeks in Bend, OR, where we love kayaking,  river rafting, and hiking.  I hope to know all of you as we navigate the waters of third grade together.
