About Mrs. Carlisle

I am so happy to be your 5th grade teacher this year! I absolutely love teaching 5th grade because there are so many fun things we get to do, like Outdoor Ed, class dress up picture, Gingerbread Houses, Early Settlements, State Fair and 5th grade parties! I look forward to a great year with you:)

A couple things about me....

I am married to my awesome husband Brendan and together we have a son named Hudson who is almost 3, and a daughter named Finley who was born on September 15, 2019, she's almost 1! They are both so much fun!

I have been teaching for 10 years and this will be my 6th year teaching 5th grade at Willow Elementary. Before I started teaching in California, I taught 3rd and 5th graders English in Costa Rica. I loved teaching in Costa Rica so much and learning to speak Spanish. After I moved back to the US, I taught Kindergarten, 1st and 6th grades at Ingenium Charter School in Canoga Park. I am so happy to be at Willow because the people here are amazing and the students are such hard workers. Go Wildcats!

I am originally from Westlake Village, but currently live in Newbury Park. I have a dog named Gatsby and he is a giant white Golden Retriever, he is so cute. Some things I like to do outside of school are to be outside going hiking, hanging at the beach, snowboarding, attending sports events-Go Dodgers!, and being with my family. I also love to travel and experience new things, especially trying new exotic food:) I have been to over 10 countries throughout Central America, Europe and Asia, one day I hope I can make it to Australia and South America.

I have one brother names Chris he is married to Erica and together they have 3 boys, my nephews, Luke, Dylan and Beckett. My husband also has a nephew named Owen and a niece named Jenelle, she is exactly 1 month younger than Hudson:) I love being an aunt! My nephews and niece are so cute and fun!

2020-2021 will be a great year, I cannot wait to get to know all about each and every one of you!
