Welcome to Mr. Moore's 6th grade Social Science site! It is my philosophy that all students can learn and I will strive to provide the best educational experience for all of my students. The best way to ensure success is to be prepared for class, and that means completing and submitting ALL assignments on time, studying properly, and taking care to use standard written English at all times. Being respectful in class is of great importance and of course, it is also critical to participate in class activities and discussions while keeping up with outside reading.
Students in the 6th grade study ideas, issues, and events that ushered in the dawn of the major Western and non-Western Ancient civilizations. Emphasis is on the lives, problems, and accomplishments of the people, their roles in developing social, economic, and political structures. The TAN Festival serves as a highlight to the year's conclusion. More information on the TAN festival will be available in the second semester.
