Mrs. Stock

Get to know me:

I am a proud mom to my son, Jacob, who was born in February 2018. Being a mom has changed my life in so many ways. It motivates me to learn new things and try different experiences. In my free time, I enjoy taking walks to the park, going to the beach, and swimming.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember. Growing up, I organized activities for my younger cousins, and played teacher with my friends after school. We even made pretend grade books and seating charts. After high school, I began working towards my teaching degree, graduating from California State University Northridge with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies. I then continued my education at Pepperdine University, earning a Masters in Education and California Teaching Credential. I have now achieved my goal and have happily been teaching for 16 years! It has been a pleasure teaching at Lupin Hill and I am thrilled to be a Lupin Hill Tiger!

My Philosophy of Education

My goal is to build a nurturing, safe, and caring classroom community where students feel safe to share, learn and try new things. I believe that students grow from having hands-on, meaningful learning experiences. They need to be provided opportunities to touch, manipulate, examine and move objects in every subject area. I also believe in the LVUSD Student 360 model and that students' social-emotional growth and conflict resolution skills are as important as academics.

I look forward to partnering with the parents of my students in teaching and educating their children. Throughout the year, I will communicate through my website, ParentSquare, report cards and parent/teacher conferences. I encourage you to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
