How Much Homework Will My Child Have?

Section Assessment Homework is assigned once or twice a unit. This is independent work, not working with another. See Calendar tab Calendar link, the directions and Doc Template is on the Calendar.

Students are asked to read the assigned chapter in the textbook and answer the assigned questions using the section assessment. Students must restate the question in the answer and write in complete sentences using science terminology. HW ID must be put in the upper left hand corner and proper heading with the student name, date and period number in the right hand corner. All HW must be typed, 12 font and turn in a hard copy, using black ink. The school library allows students to print B/W for free.

Do You Accept Late Work?

Late will be accepted one week late for up to 80%, after that for 50% late credit.

Success:Keep track of assignments by checking the calendar or download the current unit exam notebook cover sheet under each curriculum unit heading. Each day the student should be prepared with the following items: folder with pockets to keep all science papers, loose leaf paper, black or blue pens, pencils, yellow highlighter, colored pencils or crayons.
