White Oak Elementary recognizes that birthdays are a special day for our students and families. We must also ensure that celebrations align with the
At White Oak, student birthdays should be honored at school with a shared classroom gift or activity. Birthdays will be recognized in the classroom, but in lieu of food treats, we suggest that families who wish to do something special , donate a small item to the class in honor of the child’s birthday (supplies for an engineering challenge, a playground ball, jump rope, puzzle, board game, book, legos, itunes card for classroom apps, or a donation to the school library).
We THANK YOU ahead of time for not sending food items, as we don’t want to be placed in an awkward position of returning them home.
