8:15-9:15 Centers: small group work time with teacher, instructional aide, or parent
9:30-9:50: Recess
9:50-11:05: Specialists (Music/Art, P.E., Library) and/or Instructional Time
11:15-12:00 Lunch and outside play
12:00-12:50 Various Activities i.e., Community Circle, Story, Specialists and/or Instructional Time
12:50-1:00 Second recess
1:00-1:40 Various Activities i.e., Community Circle, Story, PDR**, Specialists and/or Instructional Time
1:50 Dismissal
**PDR stands for Plan, Do, Review. Students Plan what they will do, choosing from a set of options which vary from day to day; Do it; then Review it as a class afterward. PDR is an important part of the Kindergarten program which focuses on promoting social skills, making appropriate choices, and learning through exploration.
Wednesday is planning time for teachers. Students attend school from 8:00am-11:30am.
