Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know your student, and I am looking forward to a productive and exciting school year.

Our studies this year will take us around the world as we examine the social, cultural, and technological changes during the period of 500-1789. We will first review the role of historians and how archeologists discover the past. Students will then examine the history of great civilizations that developed simultaneously throughout medieval and early modern times. Through our studies students will discover how increased trade interactions, technological advances, and cultural diffusion laid the foundation for the global world they live in today.
