This year I am challenging the third graders to each read forty books at their level by the end of the school year. Nothing has proven more effective in helping a child do well in school than increasing their reading. I know that every third grader can do it! I will help students choose appropriate books. The students will have time to read in class as well as assigned reading for homework.

Each book must be read and the title recorded on the Reading Log

A minimum number of books must be read in each of ten genres.

•Books from school,home,or the library will be accepted.

Any book read that has over 300 pages will count as two books.
