Rising Sun Center for Opportunity

Opportunity Build is a free, industry-certified pre-apprenticeship program, providing a path to union apprenticeship in the skilled trades through job training, case management, and job placement support. Opportunity Build begins with 10 weeks of hands-on and classroom training at Rising Sun’s Oakland facility. Training is unpaid, but participants can earn a training stipend based on attendance and performance. After completing training, participants receive career services, as well as access to alumni events and resources.
