Friendly reminders

I am excited for you guys to experience the joy of performance and travel. This is your first, hopefully of many, music department trips to an exciting location. I have high expectations of you as do your chaperones. Let me spell this out a little clearer. If I or a chaperone needs your attention we expect to get it as we have something important to tell you. If another member of the traveling party needs help, be that person. Loading equipment, being a buddy and being polite to any adult you deal with is "part of the experience". We operate as a family, however dysfunctional that may be :). If you see someone by themselves ask them to join you. Be a friend, that is the bonus of music students, you are nice people. Nobody goes anywhere by themselves. You are to know where your chaperone is at all times as well as the members in your group. When on the bus, loud sounds, inappropriate language, screaming and being annoying are not needed. You should remain seated whenever the bus is in motion. You should act as if your grandma is by you at all times. Chicago is a city of many different cultures and lifestyles that you don't see all the time in our district. Embrace it, everyone deserves to be who they are. Have a great time and make some lifelong memories.

Mr. Bahn
