AND YOUR LUSH GOOGLE ACCOUNT
Google Workspace, also known as GSuite, is the primary suite of collaboration and communication tools which we currently use at Lush.
In 2021, it was decided that every colleague across the Lush Group should receive their own individual account login, with the aim of making information more accessible at every level of the business.

Frontline and Enterprise license
To log in for the first time, head to accounts.google.com.
The standard format for a Lush Google username is firstname.lastname@lush.co.uk, for UK-based teams, or firstname.lastname@lush.ie, for our Irish teams, and the names used will be determined by the names that you register with Payroll* when you start.
If your password has not yet been shared with you, ask your manager as it may have been sent to them. If your manager has not received your password either, they'll need to contact Digital Services on your behalf.
The password you are given to use for your first login is a temporary one and once you have logged in successfully, you will be prompted to change it to something of your choice. Please see the Password Policy for guidance - no Password1234 around here!
*If the name on your Google Account is wrong or needs to be changed, please contact Digital Services.
All frontline staff at Lush that are not managers or trainees or champions, have Cloud licences.
These licences don't include an email inbox, a calendar, or Google Chat, but provide a generous amount of storage for individual use, plus access to other Lush-only platforms.
With a Cloud Identity account, you can:
Create and edit Docs, Slides, Sheets and Forms
Join Google Meet calls
Access Internal Communication through the Colleague Centre as a Google Site, as well as newsletters, policy and training documents and shared folders in Google Drive.
Google Drive storage up to 15GB - use wisely!
Most shops, manufacturing rooms and managers will have a Frontline licence.
These accounts have access to the full Google Workspace, but have a lower storage limit, intended for regular but lighter use.
These accounts have access to:
A Gmail inbox
Google Chat
Google Calendar
Hosting and participation in Google Meet calls
Full use of Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites, Forms and other Workspace tools
Google Drive storage of up to 2GB. As above, we'd encourage good housekeeping of your storage to keep below this limit!
Lastly, we have Enterprise licences used mostly by support teams. These are the most comprehensive licences, intended for data-heavy and storage-heavy users.
Amongst other features, they include:
A Gmail inbox
Google Chat access
Google Calendar
Hosting and participation in Google Meet calls
Full use of all the Google Workspace tools such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites and Forms
Unlimited Google Drive storage - though please use this responsibly! Cloud storage tools like Google Drive all have an environmental impact, so even with unlimited storage, we'd encourage you to have a regular clear out of anything you
don't need.
If you think you may have the wrong type of account for your role, or the needs of your role have changed, speak to your manager who can then raise this with Tech Services.
We are constantly reviewing our use of Google, and systems like it, and may occasionally decide to change the licence type which groups of colleagues are on.
We remain fully committed to ensuring all colleagues have access to the information they need, so when changes do occur, we'll let you know how, when and why, and where you can find information from that point on.
In our usage of Google Workspace, we've enlisted the help of a third-party support service called Ancoris.
One of the things they can help with is training on how to use the Google Workspace tools available to you - whether you're brand new to Lush or just new to Google Workspace. There are live sessions each month which include the opportunity for you to ask questions, or if the live times don't work for you, you can access recordings of previous sessions.
These sessions are primarily aimed at those who don't have much existing experience, but if you've been using Google Workspace for a while, Ancoris also offer a Cloud Skills Academy site with detailed guides for more in-depth learning.
Google's own Help Centre also contains detailed tips, tricks and troubleshooting pointers for a huge variety of different tasks.
