1ST YEAR
SILVER CORD
2ND YEAR
WHITE CORD
3RD YEAR
BLACK CORD
4TH YEAR
RED CORD
What is a Honor Cord?
An honor cord is worn to represent an achievement of the student or their participation in a specific group or study, which is identified by the color or colors of the cord. Individual high schools establish their own criteria for cords and their symbolism.
A student who participates in the Lincoln High School Commitment to Community Award Program will receive an honor cord for each year the requirements are met. Each cord signifies a student completing 100 hours of community service.
1 YEAR OF SERVICE= SILVER CORD
2ND YEAR OF SERVICE= WHITE CORD
3RD YEAR OF SERVICE= BLACK CORD
4TH YEAR OF SERVICE= RED CORD
Upon graduation, if a student has participated in the C2C program for 4 years, he/she will have 4 honor cords to wear at graduation.
