Grades - Kindergarten, Second Grade, Fourth Grade, Sixth Grade, & Eighth Grade.
Hi Mariners and Welcome Back to School As your counselor I am thrilled to be serving you in the 2023-2024 school year and am POSITIVE that we will have some great adventures this year! Below you will find a little more information about myself.
Education:
Attended Delta College for 2 years.
Graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Fort Hays state University.
Earned my Masters of Education - School Counseling with a PPS Credential from Alliant International University.
Hold a Certificate in Trauma and Crisis Management as well as Counseling Supervision Certificate.
Personal lLife:
I am married and a mother to two amazing boys ages 10 & 8!
I love all animals and have quite a few at home (dogs, cats, and even a snake!)
I love being outdoors
Chocolate and Popcorn are my favorite snacks!
This will be my sixth year at Claudia Landeen and I am so excited to begin this new school year with you all! - Mrs. Sharma
Services Provided
How will the school counselor be involved at school?
School Counselors do a lot of things! You'll see me in the classrooms teaching lessons, at lunch with students, in the library, on the playground, and all around the school!
Here are some things the school counselor also does:
Classroom lessons to help students with academics, behavior, social skills, relationships, as well as college & career readiness!
Group Counseling for students who are working on building similar skills as above but benefit from a smaller group setting where we can focus on specific skills.
Meet individually with students to practice new skills.
Collaborate with teachers, students, families, and the community to find ways to best meet the needs of all of our students.
Organize and train our Conflict Managers (a group of peer mediators) and most recently our newest student led group 'The Mariner Club' - focused on doing random acts of kindness around the school!
