Period 7: Study Skills

Study skills is designed to help students with their academic core subjects, such as math, language arts, physical education, science, and social studies. Students will be given the time to work on homework and receive additional instruction when needed. They will also be given weekly progress reports, which will need to be verified by a parent/guardian.

Grading

A student's final grade will be based on the following:

  1. Participation- 10 points weekly

  2. Core Progress- 5 points (A student receives five points each week, but loses 1 points for each "D" and 2 points for each "F" in a core subject.)

  3. Progress Report- 5 points weekly

Grade Scale

98%-100% = A+ 93-97% = A 90-92% = A-

87-89% = B+ 83-86% = B 80-82% = B-

77-79% = C+ 73-76% = C 70-72% = C-

67-69% = D+ 63-66% = D 60-62% = D-

59% and below will result in a failing grade.
