Class Overview

Welcome to 1st grade! I’m Ms. Katie, and I’m so excited to have your child in my class this year. We’re going to have a wonderful time learning, growing, and exploring together!  This year, our classroom is the Kindness Clubhouse—a welcoming space where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to be their best self. We’ll focus on building strong friendships, showing empathy, and creating a positive environment where kindness leads the way. I can’t wait to grow and learn together in our little clubhouse community! 

Important Information & Reminders

• School begins at 8:20 AM and ends at 2:50 PM.

  • • Students are expected to be in class, seated and ready to work no later than 8:30 AM.

• All due dates for assignments, quizzes, and tests will be posted to PowerSchool and reminders will be sent to parents on ClassDojo. Join the ClassDojo page by clicking HERE.

• Students are expected to come dressed in full uniform on a daily basis.

  • • On gym days (Thursdays), students are allowed to come to school in their LU gym uniform.

    • Students may dress down on their birthday and on notified dress down days.

• It is expected that students come prepared with all supplies and everything they need to succeed each day. View the Grade 1 school supply list here.
