This course is an exploration of design elements, principles, and concepts. Students will be review the foundations of design and build on the foundations through the process of design thinking, aesthetics, and assignments focused on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Express. The one tool you will need at the very start of class is your USB stick, this is essential in order to keep your work together.

Your grades will reflect a weighted distribution according to the following categories.

Participation - 40%

SEPTEMBER
September 8-12 (Week 5) - PRESENTATION of your 4 into 1 assignment.
September 1-5 (Week 4) - 4 INTO 1 Assignment using the spot Healing Brush tool to remove objects and the clone Stamp tool to add objects.
AUGUST
August 25-29 (Week 3) - Mood Board Assignment is due on August 28th. Be prepared to present your finished work to the class.
August 18-22 (Week 2) - Creative Industries and Brainstorming basics.
August 11 - 15 (Week 1) - Getting to know you.
