UNITS we will do this year:

Unit 1: Introduction to Body Systems

Understand the basic structure & function of body systems.

Unit 2: Cell Review

Review cell structure/function and observe movement of molecules across cell membranes..

Unit 3: Tissues

Differentiate between the different tissues.

Unit 4: Integumentary System

Learn about hair, nails, membranes and skin that serve as our bodies coverings.

Unit 5: Skeletal System

Learn the bones of the body and describe the associated structures and system functions.

Unit 6: Muscular System

Comprehend movement on a microscopic level and learn about the major muscles.

Unit 7: Digestion & Excretion

Visualize how nutrients are pumped throughout our body feeding our cells and getting rid of wastes

Unit 8: Cardiovascular System

Visualize how the human pump works and learn all the major vessels.

Unit 9: Blood

Describe the components of blood and learn about the different types of blood cells.

Unit 10: Respiratory System

Visualize the transfer of oxygen into our bodies and carbon dioxide out.

Unit 11:  Nervous System

This delicate system is the control center or "computer" of our bodies.

Unit 12:  Sensory System

Our sensory system tells us a lot about the world around us and helps us make quick decisions.
