Who Am I?

Welcome to Kindergarten

I am so happy to have your child in my class.  I look forward to getting to know your child better every day.  Let me tell you a little about myself. 

I graduated from SFA & this is my 26th year of teaching.  I have taught Pre-K & 3rd grade, but most of my teaching years are in kindergarten. 

Lufkin is home to me.  I was born here & have spent most of my life here.  I am a proud Lufkin Panther!  I have been married for 32 years to my husband, Steven & we have 3 boys.  Tyler is 30, Ryan is 26, & Kyle is 22.  Tyler got married this summer.  He graduated from SFA & works at Lufkin State School, and is a referee on many Friday nights.  Our middle son, Ryan, works for the City of Lufkin & owns his own lawn care business.  Our youngest son, Kyle, graduated from Texas A&M, was a drum major in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, and plans on becoming a policeman.  All three boys are proud graduates from Lufkin High School.  :)

My husband & I love to travel…specially to watch the Houston Astros!  I am also a HUUUUUUGE ELVIS fan!  Don’t be surprised to hear your child mention ELVIS now & then.  LOL
