Honor Societies

Elementary

Qualifications

Must be in 4th or 5th grade
Enrolled in Lufkin ISD the fall and spring semesters immediately prior to the selection period or have on file grades from previous school (if applicable)
90% or higher cumulative average in the previous spring and a 90% or higher cumulative average in the previous fall semester to include all classes
90% or higher in both work habits and conduct for the fall of the qualifying year
Rated based on service, leadership, scholarship and responsibility

National Junior Honor Society

Qualifications

Must be in 7th or 8th grade
Enrolled at Lufkin Middle School one semester immediately prior to the selection period or have on file grades from previous schools (if applicable)
90% or higher cumulative average to include all classes taken during middle school
Discipline records will be considered
Rated based on service, leadership, scholarship, character and citizenship

National Honor Society

Qualifications

Must be in 11th or 12 grade
Enrolled at Lufkin High School prior to the selection period
95% or higher cumulative weighted average at the end of the first semester of the eligible year to include all classes taken in high school
Discipline records will be considered
Rated based on service, leadership, scholarship and character

Superintendent's Honor Roll

Overview

Students receiving academic or advanced level instruction (advanced, advanced placement, dual credit) receive a certificate of achievement each 9 weeks they meet qualifications.

Elementary Qualifications

Honors 3rd-5th grade students who achieve a 92% or higher average to include all classes

Lufkin Middle School Qualifications

Honors 6th-8th grade students who achieve a 90% or higher average to include all classes

Lufkin High School Qualifications

Honors 9th-12th grade students who achieve a 95% or above weighted average to include all classes taken
