I am so excited to have your child in my class this year!
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have been a teacher for seven years. This will be my third year in first grade! I absolutely love teaching first grade.
A little bit about myself:
I have two boys of my own. Parker will be a senior this year and Mason will be in eighth grade. Parker is my artist and Mason is my golfer.
We love to spend time traveling together and going on nature hikes. I am a huge animal lover. I have a dog, two cats, a parakeet, and seven chickens! It literally is a zoo at my house.
I cannot wait to see what this year holds for all of my first graders as we learn together.

- Meet The Teacher for First Grade is August 18 at 4:30 to 6:00 pm
- School Begins August 24th
- Do not forget to send your child with their green arm band on to school.
- School starts at 7:40 and ends at 3:05
- My conference time is 12:50-1:40

Welcome to First Grade!!!
I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! Here are some things I would like you to know to start off the year.
*Class begins promptly at 7:45. My room is open at 7:40 so they can begin their morning work. Students arriving before 7:40 must go to the first grade hallway to eat sit/eat breakfast. Our cafeteria offers free breakfast AND lunch for every student. We end the day at 3:05 and students must be picked up by 3:15.
*We cannot send home folders or reading bags every day!! If your child brings home anything from school paper wise, (it will stay at home). PLEASE check backpacks EVERYDAY for papers and clean them out so we are not sharing more germs.
Once homework starts in a few weeks, we will let you know the procedures for that.
*Please keep me informed if there is a change in address or phone number where you can be reached in case of an emergency. Please make sure you sign up for our class DOJO because this is how I will communicate with your EVERYDAY.
IN THIS ENVELOPE……..
There is a green bracelet with your child’s name, and teacher. It is very important that you write down how they will be getting home the first day of school. They have to wear this bracelet the first week of school since parents are not allowed to walk students in. Please also make sure you have filled out the parent info page and put it in your child’s backpack for the first day of school.
