Meet the Teacher

I was born and raised, right here in Lufkin. I went to Hudson for my entire school career, there I fell in love with music, particularly singing. I was in Choir, Show Choir, and Theater throughout my school career. After I graduated high school, I attended Angelina College, majoring in music. After I left Angelina College, I moved to Beaumont, to attend Lamar University, majoring in music with an emphasis on education. I hold a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music, and I am Kodaly Certified. In my free time, I perform in musicals at Angelina College and sing with the Angelina College choir as an Alumni Member. I also love to read, crochet, and spend time with friends and family. This will be my 9th Year teaching. This is my seventh year here at Coston, I was previously at Herty Primary. I look forward to getting to know all the students and having a great year making music together.
