Google in our classroom:

We will be using Google in the classroom more often this year. Mostly we will be working in the Google Drive to complete research projects, practice essay formatting, presentations, and other projects revolving around novel studies or student interests. All projects will be started in the classroom and depending on time may be finished in the same day. Students will then have the opportunities to complete unfinished work at home, or in class if they finish daily assignments early. This is a great tool for collaboration and allows students other ways to complete assignments.

Google Classroom:

Our google classroom is a web page that allows students to view assignments and directions for each project. Games related to content will also be uploaded throughout the year for students to practice skills at home. Students can add comments, or ask questions about assignments and get feedback quickly.

Google Drive.

The Drive will contain all projects students will complete or have completed.

We will be working with Google Doc (for typing compositions) and Google Slides (for presentations) throughout the school year. Our goal is to become more comfortable and confident with the online features our school is allowing us to use. It also gives students options instead of completing assignments the same way all year.

Most projects will be completed collaboratively with other students, however some activities will require independent research.

All projects will be shared with the teacher for editing and grading purposes. Students can add comments or questions for the teacher or other students they may be collaborating with. This way questions can be addressed quickly and the students can have direct feedback.
