About Me 

Hola! Me llamo Señora Torrie Gaffney. Hello, my name is Torrie Gaffney. I'm originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and ended up in the great north as a result of multiple moves due to my parent's jobs. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Superior in 2018 with a double major in Secondary English Education and Secondary Spanish Education. I received my Masters of Science in Instruction from UWS in Spring 2021.  

While my husband and I don't have any children of our own yet, we do have 4 fur babies! We have three kitties: A black and white cat named Moo, a brown tabby cat named Grace, and an orange munchkin cat named The General. We also have a rescue "puppy" from Duluth named Bendito, which means 'blessed' in Spanish. 

My greatest adventure thus far as been marrying my incredible husband, David, on August 2, 2019. We had a beautiful wedding up in Duluth/ Superior, and I couldn't be happier! 

I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in June 2017 in Costa Rica, where I was able to put my Spanish abilities to the test.Interacting with some truly incredible people while being immersed in the culture allowed me to grow as a speaker and person in a way I could have never imagined.
