My Role

As your School Counselor, I am here to advocate for ALL students. While my focus will be on the elementary & middle school levels, I am also here to assist with any High School related needs as well!

I can support you in any way that you need, here are just a few: career exploration, academic advising, and social/emotional learning.

My goal is to create a safe space so you feel comfortable coming to me with anything you need! You can reach me by email, phone, or stopping by my office!

My Education

I graduated from South Saint Paul High School in South Saint Paul, Minnesota. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and minor in Spanish from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, MN. After spending a few years in the workforce, I decided to go back to school to obtain my Masters in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls!

About Me

I may call Minnesota home but I am very excited to make my new home in WI! When I’m not in school, I enjoy biking, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and going on walk with my new dog, Murphie!

My role

Hello! I am so excited to be here at Luck School District as your Middle and High School Counselor! Though that is my title, I am here to help with any Elementary needs as well. Ms. Angstman and I are here to help all students reach their full potential, specifically in the areas of academic planning, career exploration, and social/emotional awareness and learning.

Through genuineness and unconditional positive regard, I hope to create safe and trusting relationships so that you all feel comfortable being who you are. Please feel free to reach me by email, phone, or stop by!

my education

Almost a million years ago, I graduated from Hudson High School, here in Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Math and Music from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. After working as a paraprofessional accompanying and choreographing for a school, a student suggested that I become a school counselor, since I was easy to talk with. The rest is history. I graduated with a Masters in School Counseling from Minnesota State University - Mankato quite a while ago and am so thankful to be back doing what I love - working with students, parents/guardians, staff, and the community.

about me

Family is hugely important to me. My daughter Maggie is a senior at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, pursuing a SASA (Stage and Screen Arts) and Music major, while also being the starting pitcher for the UWRF Softball team. My son Henry graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Auto Body/Collision Repair and now works at Johnson Motors in New Richmond, while also being an AMAZING landscaper and chicken raiser. My husband Darwin works as an IT administrator in Hudson, and when we all get time off, we love to fish, travel, watch movies, kayak, and hang out. Another huge part of our family is our pets. We have three dogs (Ellie, Rosie aka Rosita, and Maizie), though we lost our golden retriever Luke just this January. We also have six cats and 19 chickens. If I had my way, I would have goats and a whole bunch more dogs!!! (Darwin says no way).

I also am the second oldest of six girls in my family, so our extended family keeps growing! It's hard to get everyone together, but we sure try.

Finally, I think I have an interior decorating hoarding problem. Stop in and visit, and let me know what you think!

SO excited to meet you ALL!!! Here's to a GREAT 2023-2024!!!
