Welcome to Lubbock ISD!

• Each campus has a Lead Mentor who supports all new teachers as they are hired throughout the year. 

• All Year One New to Profession Teachers are required to participate in the following: 

  • • Each campus Lead Mentor will facilitate monthly Strong Start Meetings. Check with your mentor for dates!

    • A 1:1 Mentor will be assigned in the new teacher's grade level/content area to support with monthly check-ins.

    • Each semester, new teachers will be allotted a 1/2 day for observations in other classrooms. Lead Mentors will communicate the schedule

    • Strong Start Celebration is our chance to celebrate your accomplishments as a 1st year teacher in Lubbock ISD.
