Robotics

***Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been determined that there will be no before/after school clubs until further notice.

Sadly, this does include robotics. Sorry, guys! If there are changes made, I will update this site, as well as announce it to my in-person groups and on Google Classroom.

Robotics is an extra curricular activity that spans for roughly six weeks at the beginning of the school year. West Texas BEST Robotics is a competition hosted by the Electrical Engineering Department at Texas Tech University as a recruiting tool for future engineering students. Each year, participating teams receive two kits: a consumable kit containing glues, screws, fasteners, woods, pvc, and metals; and a returnable kit containing the electronic parts necessary to make the robot run. Teams across the nation all see the same problem on the same Kickoff day, and then have six weeks to design, build, troubleshoot, document, and practice to be ready for the tournament on Game Day.

Further details can be found in the form below.

*NOTE: This is a student-led, student-built initiative. Safety is taught in class, and as such, students MUST be enrolled in Industrial Technology Class to be eligible to participate.
