Ms. Fong is a professional drama teacher from Hamilton, Canada. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Theatre and Film from McMaster University, and a Master's Degree in Social Science from The University of Hong Kong. She has had the privilege to work with community groups to establish and promote spoken word poetry. In Hong Kong, she's collaborated with local schools and NGOs like YWCA to develop and enhance their drama programmes with children and teenagers.
She's passionate about the advocacy of creative arts and it’s importance in everyday life. Artistic expression, no matter how abstract is an important part of humanity.
Mr. Hamilton holds a Bachelor Degree in Theatre (Cornish College of the Arts), a Master Degree in Education (Framingham University) and certification for AP English and IB Theatre. Born in the USA, he has taught Theatre, English, Speech and Creative Writing in international schools for 16 years.
Before becoming a full time teacher Hamilton worked in professional theatre as an actor, director and playwright. He performed and/or directed plays in Europe, Canada, Mexico, and several US cities including New York and Seattle and won awards for writing and directing.
His book of poems, The Hummingbird Sometimes Flies Backwards won the Proverse Prize and was published in 2019.
