I'm Mrs. Petronis! I love being part of the Lawrence Intermediate School community. I have an 10 year old son entering fifth grade at LIS and a 6 year old daughter starting first grade at Eldridge Park . I love living in Lawrenceville and am so proud to teach here.

I have 16 years teaching experience. While most of my time has been spent in Flemington teaching fifth grade, I have also taught in fourth and sixth grade. I love the classroom because I learn just as much as the students!

I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Masters Degree in Education and I hold certificates in Special Education and ESL also from TCNJ.

I have been trained in Orton Gillingham (sensory approach to reading and spelling), The Responsive Classroom and Kagan Cooperative Learning.

Other than teaching and being a wife and mom, I love animals! We have a dog named Stella, a tortoise named Tortesy, and chickens that live in our backyard. My family calls me a “Crazy Chicken Lady”. Some other interests of mine are reading, theatre, cooking, Disney, and playing games with my friends and family.
