COACH WILLIAMS
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
“In the dictionary is the only place where success comes before work…”
I am a dedicated worker who places the vision of the program above myself at all times. I also teach this “team above yourself” mentality to my players. I value teaching my athletes technical and tactical skill for success in the game, while striving to build their positive character that will help them succeed in life. I take pride in developing not only strong, confident athletes, but also “player coaches”. In the game of softball players need to be constantly switched on, thinking the game, along with playing it.
I will believe in all of my players and will help them believe in themselves so that they can strive towards excellence on a daily basis. Through high expectations, goal setting, and intense practice sessions my athletes will build their self-esteem and understand what it means to be a part of something larger than themselves.
A confident captain leads a confident ship. My players will see me as confident no matter the sacrifice of the game. If a team has confidence and trust as part of their team culture they will be better prepared to turn the adversities that they will face both on and off the field into positives.
