Great news! All students at Lake Travis High School have access to YouScience - Aptitude and Career Discovery and Precision Exams.  Through a series of engaging 'brain games,' YouScience measures natural abilities most important to career choices. YouScience has been proven to engage students effectively and provide the direction they need to make the most important education and career decisions.  Precision Exams by YouScience offers industry-recognized career and technical education (CTE) exams. Employers prioritize skills and knowledge over education in many careers. A Precision Exam skills certificate acts as tangible proof of a student's skills and knowledge and helps students enter the workforce, gain preferred hiring status, or earn a wage increase.  Precision exams are offered through CTE courses at Lake Travis High School.  

Ninth grade students and students new to the district should receive an email within the first 2 weeks of school from YouScience with their YouScience account login information.  Returning students have accounts created in previous years.  Students may engage with YouScience as part of a course at school or they are free to try it on their own from home.

We believe this tool will help students make more informed decisions when it comes to college and career-related choices. This could translate into a more cost-effective and enjoyable journey through the college years, as well as helping students pursue their best fit career paths.
