We are excited to utilize the CSTA PD Passport to track professional development throughout the school year. This digital tool serves as our primary method for logging your participation during both the summer session and continuing education. While you can download certificates directly from the PD Passport, your specific PD Provider may also issue separate certificates as well.

To see your PD Passport and find your certificate for CSPDWeek 2026:

• Log into your CSTA Account at https://my.csteachers.org/. 

• Navigate to your profile 

• Left navigation bar, look for "PD Passport"

Participants are asked to participate in at least 12-16 hours of continuing professional learning across the 2026-2027 school year. You can count PD from July 1, 2026 - May 30, 2027. The interactive site is full of options and updated all of the time!

To receive a stipend: 

• Attend 12-15.9 hours of approved school-year continuing education, you will receive a stipend of $360.

• Attend 16+ hours of approved school-year continuing education, you will receive a stipend of $480.

Meet and connect with other CS and AI teachers across the state

Learn some new activities and strategies to bring into your classroom. 

Reflect on practice and implementation of computer science, artificial intelligence, and computational thinking activities learned during Summer 2026

Participate in Academic Year Workshops for specific PDs from CS + AI PD Week  to continue learning the initial content

Requirements for a Stipend

• A minimum of 12 hours of school-year sessions completed for a stipend of $360.

• A minimum of 16-hours of school-year sessions for a stipend of $480.

• Attendance from at least one hour of synchronous sessions is required for a stipend. The remaining hours can be filled in with a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous sessions.

• PD hours can be counted from July 1, 2026 - May 30, 2027. 

• If you did not get a stipend for the summer 2026 CSPDWeek, you cannot get a stipend for the school-year PD.

• School year stipend will be rolled out beginning In February of 2027. You will receive more information regarding the process for submitting your PD transcript in early 2027. 

Finding and Attending Sessions

CS + AI PD Week Participants can attend PD or PLC sessions from multiple different states, along with sessions provided nationally by the Computer Science Teachers Association. Sessions take on many formats (synchronous, in-person, virtual, or asynchronous) and are all listed on the CS + AI PD Week Continuing Education - here. 

• If you are attending a session not on the site and want to know if it would count towards your stipend, email us at cs@LTCillinois.org

• Some sessions offered by other states may not count for IL PD Hours, but do count toward your stipend requirement.  If you have questions, please check with cs@LTCillinois.org if you are unsure. 

Submitting your Hours to your PD Passport

• All hours for your school year stipend must be logged on your CSTA Passport*.

*Illinois teachers attending Illinois PD events (with LTC) - your hours will be uploaded for you. 

• Hours for your stipend will ONLY be counted if they are logged on the Passport. 

• Each event on the Continuing Education page - will be expanded to see the details. There will be information on how your hours are added to the CSTA PD Passport: 

  • Option 1: Action Required: Upload Session Yourself to PD Passport

  • Option 2: No Action Required: We will Upload to the Passport on your Behalf

• Participants are encouraged to log additional PDs within the PD Passport, however, PD hours will not count if they not included on the Continuing Education Spreadsheet. Our hope is that the PD Passport becomes an easy to use, log of historical data for you!
