ALUM SPOTLIGHT | JENNA ALTONEN

Years in LSYC | 2015-2019

Current Job | 5th year music education student at The College of St. Scholastica. Ms. Altonen was the Choristers intern at LSYC and is now the Cantemus intern!

What did you learn from LSYC? | During my time as a singer in LSYC, I learned the value of perseverance. Being part of this organization encouraged me to grow both personally and as a singer, reinforcing that greatness is not given but earned through consistent effort and dedication. I am on my journey to become a music educator because LSYC helped me discover my deep love of music.

What is your favorite LSYC memory? | My favorite LSYC memory is when we performed at ACDA in Fall 2018. My favorite piece we performed was "I Sing of the Northland", that piece always makes me tear up a little.
