Mrs. Amoss is going into her 12th year of teaching middle school band. She grew up in Gallatin and graduated from Gallatin High School. She went to Tennessee Tech University where she received her Bachelors in Music Education. She moved to East TN with her husband and taught in Johnson City Schools for a short time. They then moved back to Cookeville where she worked at Prescott South Middle School for 4 years. She came to Winfree 7 years ago and absolutely loves it here! Mrs. Amoss believes that learning to play an instrument can do a lot for any student! Being in band helps teach responsibility, teamwork, creativity, working hard for goals, kindness and much, much more. It is her desire that every student have the chance to be successful in band! Her husband is the assistant band director at Lebanon High School and they have an 8 year old daughter, Lorelei and a 2 year old son, Colson.
