2023 Tryout Information

When: Begin Monday, October 23

Where: SLMS Green Gym (3:30 pm - 5:00 pm).

Who: Any 7th and 8th grade girl who is academically and physically eligible.

What: See below.

--You MUST have a current physical on file with our STAD secretary, Mrs. Breshears that is not older than 2 years old (730 days) order to tryout/participate.

--You MUST have filled out the required documents in Final Forms.

--Tryouts (and practices for those who make the team) are closed to parents. We want all athletes to feel comfortable performing in front of their coaches and peers.

--The following skills will be evaluated at tryouts:  ball handling, passing, shooting, defense, athleticism, hustle, energy, sportsmanship, and attitude.  Q1/Q2 absences, tardies, classroom behavior, and grades will also be taken into account.

--Girls who make the team will need to pay a $25 Activity Fee (unless you already paid for a Fall sport).
