Description: FIRST is a national non-profit organization that holds an annual competition for high school students. The competition challenges students to build a machine to accomplish a task that changes every year. Awards are given for competition performance, business plan, outreach activities, animation, engineering drawings, robot design and entrepreneurship. Regional competitions are held in March and the National competition is held in April. Team Driven is a FIRST Robotics Competition team based out of Lee's Summit High School. Just as the team is "Driven to Succeed," the team members are driven to learn, exploring the unique opportunities offered by FIRST Robotics to not only further their knowledge of motors, gear ratios and pneumatics, but also to challenge themselves with logistics, communications, CAD modeling, 3-D animation, web design, and other areas of the FIRST experience.
All students in good academic standing are eligible to participate
