Why the IB Diploma?
Students who commit to pursuing the IB Diploma leave LSWHS more than prepared for college and beyond. At first, the requirements for the IB Diploma seem daunting, but there is some flexibility and a lot of support in place to help students succeed. Testing fees for diploma candidates are paid by the school district.
Course Requirements
Students must complete the following criteria to receive the diploma:
3 HL courses
3 SL courses (including a second language)
Complete the core requirements during their last two years of high school: Theory of Knowledge course , Extended Essay, and Creativity/Activity/Service (CAS) hours.

IB Mathematics Analysis & Approaches (2 years: Pre-Calculus & Calculus)

IB Environmental Systems and Society (1 year)
IB Sports, Health and Exercise
IB Business Management
IB Psychology SL (1 year)
IB Social and Cultural Anthropology
IB Spanish IV & V
IB German IV & V
IB French IV & V
IB Chinese IV & V

Graduation Requirements
Students pursuing the IB Diploma must meet all graduation requirements put forth by the state of Missouri and the Lee's Summit R-7 School District.
