DECA

DECA is a non-profit national youth organization for students interested in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Chapter activities assist in developing leadership skills, professional attitudes, citizenship characteristics and social skills. Members learn and apply leadership, social, vocational, and academic skills.

 DECA promotes understanding and appreciation for the responsibilities of citizenship in a private free enterprise system. DECA encourages civic responsibility through professional conferences, chapter activities, school improvement projects, and support of community projects. Officers will be asked to attend the district and state DECA Leadership Conferences in October.

 DECA is the only international organization specifically designed to reinforce the occupational competencies of high school students who wish to pursue a career in marketing, merchandising or management.
