Information for Seniors

College Requirements in the State of Missouri

In 2018, a statute (RSMo 170.013) passed in the Missouri General Assembly that requires our current seniors and all subsequent graduates that attend a public institution of higher education in the state of Missouri take a Civics Exam as a condition of graduation from each respective institution.  This test will be administered by each institution.  The new law states that the test is between 50 and 100 multiple choice questions.  It appears that most universities in the state are opting for a 50-question test.

Because Missouri state institutions are implementing this exam, it is important that you are prepared as you move on to higher education.  The University of Missouri at Columbia has a link of review materials to help you pass this important new exam.  You may download the exam review HERE.

You may also pick up this review packet in printed form in Guidance or in Room 2302 (Mr. Whiting).
