7th Grade Health Curriculum

Mental/Emotional Health

In this unit, we will discuss the importance of stress management, goal setting, warning signs of suicide, dangers of bullying/cyberbulling, personal safety and internet safety.

Physical Health

In this unit, we will discover the structures and functions of the body systems including the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, digestive/excretory, urinary, endocrine and immune systems.

Discussions will include how to care for the systems and diseases that can affect those systems.

Social Health

In this unit we will discuss healthy relationships, dating relationships, the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases, AIDs/HIV and the qualities that make a healthy relationship.

Meet Your Teacher

Ms. Crain has been teaching health and Physical Education for eighteen years. Her primary goal in health and physical education classes is to help students relate every topic to their own personal stories. Health and wellness is the foundation for quality of life and success in life.

Ms. Crain has two children, Ella (8th grade) and Cooper (3rd grade) and an awesome golden retriever puppy, Henry and a lab mix, Truman. She loves to garden, kayak, lift weights, cook and bake!
