Dear parents, carers and families,
I am delighted to welcome you and your son or daughter to Prendergast Ladywell School.
Prendergast Ladywell School is a place where we have the highest expectations of young people and where ambition is valued. The school is ambitious for every student, we have designed a curriculum to support and challenge all students, including the most able in our community. We work tirelessly to help our students achieve their goals and expect every student to work hard to meet these high expectations.
Prendergast Ladywell students successfully secured places on their preferred Post 16 progression routes, including A Level courses of study, with an increasing number opting to remain in the Prendergast Federation Sixth Form. All students have clear progression routes to colleges or apprenticeships. We are proud of the way we prepare our students for life after Ladywell thorough our Your Choice, Your Future programme.
This is also an exciting time for your child. The transition from primary to secondary school provides the opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends. We will do everything we can to ensure this is an enjoyable and successful period in your child’s development. The support and challenges necessary to achieve outstanding outcomes will be in place for your son or daughter from the moment they arrive in Year 7.
At Prendergast Ladywell School we emphasise the importance of teamwork and we seek to achieve shared goals. It is vital that a strong partnership is established between home and school if our children are to achieve to their full potential.
We hope you find this information website useful and it prompts further communication. Providing we work together, there is no limit to what our children can achieve.
