What is the Qiskit Fall Fest?
The LSE Qiskit Fall Fest will be a one-day introductory event aimed at raising awareness about quantum computing and its applications within finance and other social sciences. This event is only open to LSE students and will be the first major event hosted by LSE Quantum and is sponsored by IBM. It will take place on the 12th of November in the CKK building.
Given LSE's focus on social sciences, the event will cater to those with little to no prior knowledge in quantum technology. The agenda will include a hands-on workshop covering the fundamentals of quantum computing, as well as an introduction to key concepts such as qubits, quantum gates, and quantum circuits.
We hope to spark an interest in quantum technology within LSE, and ultimately build a community of quantum-curious individuals.
Stay tuned for more details soon!

About LSE Quantum
The LSE Quantum Society is dedicated to exploring the interdisciplinary facets of quantum science. Founded in June 2024, our society delves into the integration of quantum mathematics and physics with finance and economics.
Our mission encompasses three core objectives: fostering a community that seeks to enrich themselves academically, preparing our members for related careers, and generating collaborative outcomes through weekly meetings. We equip our members with the necessary knowledge and skills in quantum science through workshops, company visits, and engaging discussions with academic experts.
