Team work and caring

In China Holiness Church Living Spirit College, teachers share their experiences in motivating students with one another. Teachers also work as a team to encourage students to complete their English Builder lessons. The school policy of keeping a student assignment record helps teachers monitor students’ progress.

Objectives to achieve in junior forms:

  1. To introduce different text types and basic reading skills.

  2. To introduce and consolidate various types of writing formats.

  3. To introduce students’ English foundation on the four skills and familiarise them with the TSA format.

  4. To provide students with a list of thematic vocabulary and a spiral model of learning vocabulary.

  5. To equip students with different listening skills to accomplish listening tasks.

  6. To build up students’ confidence to speak individually through recordings and TSA practice.

  7. To encourage students to read more extensively by reading different articles and novels, and participating in our online reading programme.

Objectives to achieve in senior forms:

  1. To consolidate students’ English foundation on the four skills and get them familiar with the DSE format.

  2. To revise and consolidate different reading skills, question formats and listening practices.

  3. To introduce and revise different test or text? types, reading skills and question format.

  4. To introduce and revise writing format and language styles of different types of letters.

  5. To provide students with a list of thematic vocabulary and a spiral model of learning vocabulary for writing and listening.

  6. To equip students with different listening skills to accomplish listening and integrated tasks by assigning more practices.

  7. To help students to comprehend the reading materials for speaking examination and build up students’ confidence to speak individually and in group through practice of oral and SBA practice.

  8. To encourage students to read more extensively by reading novels, fictions and newspapers.

  9. To provide students with adequate speaking skills and practice during lessons and after school to enhance their oral and SBA performance.
