Paper Fold - You can use any kind of paper - large or small - but use the same beginning size for all of your folding today. This is the same as what we were doing in the classroom.
Fold a sheet with each of the following:
2 equal pieces
3 equal pieces
4 equal pieces
5 equal pieces
6 equal pieces
What happens to the pieces as you fold more equal pieces into each sheet of paper?
*NOTE TO FAMILIES - It may take time for students to get each piece of paper folded correctly, they know how to do it, but this is actually a complex brain process. Let them have lots of paper. It can totally be scrap paper, note paper - whatever - it is just important that each piece is the same size. At school we use small square papers used to separate hamburgers.
