Audition Requirements
Audition form:
Please submit the Mamma Mia Audition form to Madame Ayrer BY DECEMBER 1, 2019. Then, you can sign up for your audition slot on the Google Classroom assignment. On audition day, please show up 15 minutes before your audition time. If we move ahead in the auditions, we will call you in early. If we run late, we will let you know via Remind.
The audition form requests that you submit a headshot. This is to help us keep track of the large number of participants. You can upload a headshot directly, print one and hand it in to Madame Ayrer, or you can email it to her. If you do not submit a proper headshot by Dec 11, we will ask you to see Madame Ayrer during a Lunch & Learn before auditions to have one taken.
Tips on taking your headshot:
Once you have turned in your audition form and your headshot, remember to sign up for an audition time on the Google Classroom assignment.
Dance Auditions
At the dance tutorial, you will be taught a quick combination and then given the week to practice.
At the audition, you will be given a number to pin to your shirt. For the dance portion, you will be given the chance to perform the combination that you learned.
Those interested in a featured dancer role, let us know on your audition form and be prepared to show us any special talents/skills on audition day.
Here are some tips from Miss Sara and Madame Ayrer:
We are looking for people that can pick up choreography quickly (since there will be so much dancing this year) and people that can perform with confidence.
Remember that this is meant to be a fun experience and no matter what part - featured dancer or ensemble - you are an important part of the show!
Confidence, effort, and enthusiasm mean so much! If you stumble or mess up, smile through it and keep going!
